Old and rugged, yet defiant;
The boulder builds its smooth shape according to the ceaseless currents,
Constantly eroding to the will of the clashing water.
The boulder belittles this seemingly infinitesimal liquid, disregarding it as but a drudge,
Crumbling, however, through the mold like the ruins of an ancient civilization.
The boulder lies and denies in contempt of its subversive shaper,
Continuously to permitting time, in the belief that they both are on the same side.
Fascinating.
